Overview:Man’s irresistible need to express himself leads him to use materials that are at his reach in order to leave a fingerprint in time. Therefore, the keeper has to face the difficulty of working with pieces of very heterogeneous nature: strange objects of unknown cultures brought in the scientific expeditions of the 18th century; medieval fabrics, representations in linens, pieces of bronze, glass, iron; indigenous feather art; very finely worked parchments ; objects made out of mud ... all of them proofs of human’s need to transcend.
