Biography:Tadamoto Ōkubo (born February 10, 1894; date of death unknown) was a Japanese director, screenwriter, and film producer. He was closely involved in the early years of Shochiku Studios. Yasujiro Ozu began his career as Ōkubo's assistant director. After 1930, Ōkubo retired from directing and shifted to a producer role. He later retired and moved to Kyoto.
